Black Women's Oppression and Triumph
About This Site: BW Equations

Black Women's Equations is a co-authored web space. All pages with the +positive symbol were written and edited by Rebekah Christie. All pages with the -negative symbol were written and edited by Brandon Daley.

Rebekah and Brandon  interrogate the positive and negative impacts of Black women's mental health and wellness within African American and Caribbean communities. Rebekah pays close attention to the +positive impacts of African American women's self-image on social media. Meanwhile, Brandon examines the -negative impacts of domestic violence at home and within carnival culture. The +positive and -negative binary of our website is for visual purposes; our research intersects and  gives a deeper understanding of BW's wellness in these contexts. The play on words and imagery equate Black women's oppressions and triumphs in the world.
